CastNET Player

CastNET Player is a licensed app that shows a playlist of scheduled content from a CastNET Digital Signage server. The app plays the same content that is published to larger CastNET screens as well as customized content created just for the iPad or iPad mini. Users can update content by logging into the CastNET server using any web browser. Adding messages, photos, videos, and websites is as easy as completing a step-by-step online form. Any content that you add to a playlist can be updated to hundreds of iPads at the same time.

CastNET Player allows viewers to use swipe gestures on the iPad or iPad mini to advance to the next message, video, photo, or web page in the playlist. In addition, every CastNET Player comes with a slide out menu bar with customizable links. Links can be used to jump to specific content in a playlist and are easily added or deleted using any web browser.

For example, a link in the menu bar could jump to a product video while other links jump to promotional messages, a series of JPEG images, web pages, and much more. By clicking one “publish” button, new playlist content is sent to every iPad on your network with the Player app without having to download it to each one separately.

CastNET Player also provides an option for a real time RSS feed to crawl on the bottom of the iPad screen. RSS feeds and HTML5 content are available from a variety of sources and are easily added or removed at any time.
